Adam Cockell is co-founder and CEO of Collegemotion, a primary provider of college video tours for media outlets such as US News & World Report. He is currently a student at Amherst College.
What is the title of your company?
I run a company called Collegemotion. We provide in-depth video college tours showcasing the best aspects of the featured school. We work mainly with US News & World Report and have plans to expand to other media outlets in the near future.
How did Collegemotion begin?
I began the company with two friends who agreed that this would be a useful source of information for any college student. We started by simply getting together a photographic database for Amherst and other nearby schools. Since then, we have grown and have plans to showcase schools nationwide.
What is the main goal of your company?
Our main goal is to provide college video tours so comprehensive that students do not actually have to go to a campus to visit. Our slogan is “Travel Optional” and we ensure that our video tours strengthen this belief.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
In the next five years, I would like to attend business school. I did not for Collegemotion to go as far as it has and I am look forward to seeing it go further. In starting my own company, I have seen that when you put yourself out there, things happen unexpectedly.
What motivates you?
I’ve always been very determined and I always put my best effort into all that I do. My main motivation is to do well in all respects.
